The year 2020 witnessed an unprecedented crisis of Covid Pandemic on a global level with all businesses firmly locked down and the entire humanity forced to remain indoors. Everyday stories of migrants walking home, loss of jobs and sheer pain in the neighbourhood had moved one and all.
The group of University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) 1987 batchmates too discussed the sign of times to unfold from this pandemic which will need our support in many forms in this hour of crisis.
UOR Care & Relief Eighty Seven Foundation (UORCARES) was thus established in the year 2020 as an Article 64 Trust registered under the Indian Trust Act with the objective of providing help to the economically weaker section of Indian society as Pandemic unfolded.
